I don't want to get into just one character so i'll say my favorite from each game i've played!
FFIII-
Its a tie between Alus and Aria i know they were super side characters but i have a thing for side characters

FFVI-
LOCKE!!! No matter what he did i loved everything about him!! <3 he was so amazing! He imo is the first final fantasy guy who had over obsessive fangirls ! ;D
FFVII-
Well the original had to be Hojo! no jk xD It was probably Cloud since he was so lost and cute about it! DOC it was shalua well and vincent but something about shalua really made me love her! such a badass ! though i must admit she got a bit annoying after finding shelke >< which is understandable but still just meh to me! for AC it is Tifa since she got so much more indepent and was so hot! i wish they kept that leather mini skirt on her >8D -perv- Then in CC it was Zack since he is the sex! i found NO FLAWS ON HIM! <3
FFVIII-
Zell first time i played the game he was lively and made me laugh Then Rinoa the second time i played it ! I can't really say why i loved her but she was all cute with Squall and knew him but wasn't obnoxious about it o.O
AND OMG I FORGOT LAGUNA! he was kind of a wimp but i loved who he was as a person! <3 if only he raised squall! i can just imagine all the bad fishing trips he'd take him on! >8D

ZIDANE!!! he was like zack again can't find a flaw! <3 and he had such a horrible life D: -hugs him-

Probably Yuna.. i just never at a point in the game was like GAWD WILL SHE DIE! which i seem to like to do with characters a lot xD Tidus after replaying the game a lot grew on me now i'm an official Tidus fangirl -teeshirt with his face- xD and for X-2 GIPPAL since he was so sexy i rewatched his scenes at least 50 times and he shared a voice with Zack who imo has the best voice out of all the characters x3
FFXII
Balthier i can say no more!! x3 and Ashe .. but only when shes with Rashler i found them to be amazing! even if it was so short it was beauiful when it was! i just liked how she acted when she was around him or thought of him it was cute!

Tifa is one of my two FF characters because I find her admirable. She doesn't complain about how hard her life is and still manage to be realistic, unlike some fictional characters and she's compassionate and selfless.

The other favorite FF character is Sazh. He's hilarious and he's actually not really a stereotypical character. As for the Black stereotypes, he has an afro and guns as his weapons, sure but at least he doesn't go around saying "DAYUM NIGGA" or anything like that. He also actually have a more interesting background than some of the other FF13 characters.

I do like some other FF characters like Yuffie, Yuna, Rikku, Cloud, Zack, Lightning, and Penelo, but I like Tifa and Sazh more.

Eeeeek!!! Now you've got me started on this fangirlism!!!! Yayness!

Probably my MOST FAVORITE character out of entire FF is CLOUD~!!!
I have a thing for sensitive, emotional man you see The first time I saw Cloud was in ACC, and he was just sooooo cool AND not to mention emo XD (It's not like I like EMO man, I like EMOTIONALLY SENSITIVE man, there's a difference XD) And then the 2nd time I saw him was in FFVII game, which just KILLED me with his complication in his mind, and his dark pasts, I just love that sort of stuff...and 3rd time was in Crisis Core.....and Cloud was just.....SO DAMN CUTE!!!! I mean, he has all sorts of faces, cute, cool, and so on!


And I can't forget this character, cause I like her just as much as Cloud....that is.....TIFA!!! Ok, to confess, I liked Aerith first (I still like Aerith just not as much as Tifa), the reason was because she was pretty ( yeah I know, you can all start throwing rocks at me now) But the more I know about Tifa, the more I like her! I think she's mentally similar to Cloud in SOME way (not entirely, but in some way) She always try her best to make the best out of her life as much as possible, and all the motherly love she showed toward Marlene and Denzel in ACC just shook my heart (oh and btw, I'm a girl XD) And all her struggles in FFVII, man, if I was in her shoes, I'd just be giving up in my life....( she kinda did by joining avalanche but yeah) and her love toward Cloud just......makes my eyes teary

So naturally, I ship CloudxTifa ALL THE WAY!!!!

Oh but that doesn't mean I don't like other characters, I do love all the other characters like...Zidane, Zack (I have a thing for bright optimistic men too XD), Aerith, Yuna, Squall, Rinoa, Vincent, Lightning, Vanille....etc.

But my love for them can't compare my love for Cloud and Tifa XD

FFVII - My favourite character is Tifa. She's determinated, sweet and can also kick ass all by herself, which I think it's absolutely awesome (I tend to love girls who are independent and strong because that's the way I am too)

FFVIII - I dislike all characters. I wouldn't say I hate them but since FFVIII is my least favourite FF, I can't 'connect' with the characters. In any case, Zell is probably my favourite character.

FFIX - I love Garnet and Amarant equally. Garnet is a girl with a strong personality. Running away from her country at the age of 16 just to be able to save it, proves how much she values everyone's lives (of course this is unlikely to happen in real life, but hey, there's a reason the game is called Final Fantasy right?). As for Amarant, I've always loved badass characters like him. He's strong and he can be nice when he wants :)

FFX - I can't choose between Yuna and Tidus. Both of them are absolutely amazing characters. Both Yunas (FFX and FFX-2) have a lot of similarities with me (shy, strong, sensitive, outgoing, naive) and Tidus is just Tidus. There's no words to describe how amazing he is. I think he's the boy every girl would love to have (although he's an absolute child in the beginning, he matures very fast and he worries about Yuna in such a gentle way <3)

FFXII - Again, Ashe and Balthier are tied. Both are my favourite FF male and female characters and also my favourite couple (for me they develop feelings for each other in the game. It just isn't truly visible). Ashe is like me in almost everything. She's kind and gentle (when she's with Rasler) but can also be independent and strong (again, the same old thing about females who can stand their own. Maybe I love it so much because In my mind females shouldn't depend so much on men, not just when it comes to money...). Balthier is just amazing! A true gentleman and also very funny and kind

FFXIII - Lightning. After all I've said, you can guess why right? :)

I love Aerith to the core. She's so strong and dependent. I love the way she flirts with Cloud and I love Clouds reaction towards her too, haha he's like a changed person with Aerith around. Hey any girl who can melt an Ice Prince's ice is an awesome person in my book<3.

Sadly Cloud is not my second favorite, it would have to be Noctis . Oh gawd! what can you say about him? o.O I just love everything about him. Let's hope that when the game comes out. I'll still love him as much as I do now.

Then here comes Cloud He's so cute when he's confused. Haha. I don't think anyone can hate him. I just love the way he acts around Aerith, marlen, and denzel.

Ahaha, kidding. I actually don't think I could pick just one, so I guess I'll go by game too.

FFII - It's a tie between Firion and Hilda. Firion's one of my favorite Final Fantasy main characters (and you better believe I spent a good portion of Dissidia squeeing over him), and Hilda's just an awesome, strong female character. And her hat has horns that are, like, a foot long each. XD I really liked Guy too. There was just something oddly adorable about him...maybe it's because he could talk to beavers.

FFVI - Epic purple octopuses aside, I love Celes. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that she's strong and tough (she is a general after all), but still beautiful and feminine. And Celes/Locke is one of my favorite Final Fantasy pairings.

FFVII - Aerith and Zack definitely. Aerith was the first video game character I really admired and thought "man, I wish I was more like her". I loved how friendly and open, and caring she was, but still mischievous and a bit of a tomboy. Well, tomboy personality, haha. And Zack...it's like Hughes from FMA. I know people that don't like FFVII that like him. He's just that awesome. And it's no secret that I fangirl over him...a lot. I like Angeal and Reeve too, although I guess I'm in the minority when I admit that I didn't like Cloud until I played Crisis Core. Because he was tiny and adorable in the game. I just thought he was kind of a jerkass when I played FFVII.

FFVIII- LAGUNA. OMFG.

FFIX - This one's hard...I love all the characters in this game so much, but I lean more towards Freya, with Kuja as a close second. There's just something about Freya that I really like. I'm not even really sure what it is. And Kuja is one of my favorite video game villains ever. Not the mention the first one I ever cried over. I loved that there was some depth to his character, but that it didn't make him seem wishy-washy or lessen the whole "we have to stop this guy" feeling.

FFX - Auron. Oh you manly man you. I really liked Yuna too, possibly because she reminds me a little of my sister.

FFXII - Basch. <3 Oh how I wish they'd kept him as the main character instead of deciding to have it be Vaan. I just loved everything about him, even down to the manly way he wore that potholder on his chest.

FFXIII - Sazh, and I totally called it before I even played the game. He was an interesting change of pace from most Final Fantasy characters, and I loved how he was upbeat and easy going, but still mature and protective of the younger characters. And he keeps a chocobo chick in his hair. That belongs to the cutest kid in the series. Snow's a close second, which honestly surprised me. I didn't think I would like him that much, but he's just so...lovable. Like a big, rambunctious puppy that looks very, very good with its shirt off.

Oh wow, big list! I've played every final fantasy but I'll keep my list short with the main ones

FFVII- Cloud, he is such an awesome character, and who wouldn't be like that after what he's been through? I mean really? I would.

Secondly Tifa, I can relate to her on many levels, she is a strong character always seeking to do what's best for everyone else and willing to stand by Cloud no matter what. (I guess you guys have figured out I like Cloti at this point and it's true ^_^)

Zack! He is so lovable! Too bad he had to die. I don't think I've run into anyone who hates Zack honestly. Hm.

FFVIII- Squall (Before disk 3) The reason I like Squall before disk 3 is because he is such a badass but after disk 3 he's kinda a huge drama king >_> It seemed so out of character for him after playing through the first 2 disks.

Quistis, Irvine and Zell. They remind me of friends I have! (Well, except Irvine, but he's that cool

FFIX- Garnet, Zidane and Kuja. I don't know why but they are so intriguing, especially Kuja for some reason. O_o

FFX/X-2- Yuna, for anyone who's known me for a while, you know that Yuna has been my all time favorite character, because I can relate to her more than a lot of characters. How she put so much of her faith in something that betrayed her in the end, and then turning out better in the end because of it. I know that feeling >_>

Auron, Rikku (FFX), Lulu and Gippal. Auron=Badass, Rikku=Adorable, Lulu= She's just cool, admit it. Gippal= Sexy

FFXII- No characters really grabbed me in XII except Balthier, Basch(?) and Ashe. Vaan didn't really have a reason to be there and kinda annoyed me with his whole wanting to be a skypirate thing

FFXIII- I loved every character in this game! They all seemed so realistic and had their own dark secret. And the friendship between Fang and Vanille seemed more sisterly to me than anything because I have that friendship with a friend of mine, where I would do anything to protect her.

FFX:::Yuna; she's so kind and strong-willed. She knows exactly what needs to be done and she always puts others above herself. She's the type of person that I apire to be, adn she's always been an inspiration from me since day one. I first play FFX in third grade, and she's always been the character that struck a chord with me the most. I've grown up wanting to be like her and what she stood for; honesty and faith and courage, even when things were bleak. I don't understand how people could hate her. No, she's not tough like Tifa or a kick-butt fighter. But she's so much more than that.

FFX:::Tidus. I will never not love him. Everybody's usually like, "omfg, will he just DIE his voice is soooo irritating he's such a whiny lil kid", but he reacts in a normal way. He's scared of being in a new place that's different from the home he knows and he's just trying to find his place. In the end, he realizes where he belong and what he has to do, and I find that incredibly brave. Also, I think his hair is the natural color and was just lightened by the sun. (;

FFXII:::Ashe, for mostly the same reasons as Yuna. She's strong and determined, but Ashe is afraid to show weakness. She wants to protect those around her and that's what makes her admirable. The things she went through molded her; in the opening sequence, I thought she was going to be a total wimp-girl who stood on the side and did nothing, but I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. |D

FFXIII:::Hope&Vanille. Hope is so easy to relate to, with his being scared of what's happening to him and just wanting to go home. He's the most realistic character SE has ever created. But I love Vanille's perky-but-not-always-happy attitude and she just loves to make other people smile. I think everyone needs someone like that in their lives. (:

Male characters (in no particular order):
Kefka Palazzo (FFVI) - He's just so awesome and has epic one-liners. Also, he's batshit insane. I just love characters who are -more or less- insane. His insane cackle is autowin.

Auron (FFX) - Auron is a manly man and an awesome character, too. I like to have characters with strong melee attacks in party so Auron is pretty much always in my part when I'm playing FFX :'D

Balthier (FFXII) - You just can't leave the leading man out of this list. That's just not possible. Never. Ever.


Females:
I don't like most female characters in FF because there's always something about them that annoys the hell out of me.

Rydia (FFIV) - I just like her a lot.

Fran (FFXII) - She's my favorite female in FF. She's so badass but cute at the same time (and dem bunny ears~ <3)

Yuna. She amazes me so much. (:
I guess she's one of the best FF characters too! (only FFX's Yuna...)
