| I know there HAS to be something that you dislike about editing. Don't get me wrong, I love editing! But there are some things about it, that makes me a bit....I don't know. I wouldn't say pull my, hair, but a tad annoyed about it, and bust a sailor mouth. o///o - Lagging It can be solved with Preview Ram, but doing it ALL the time...Ugh. I want a faster PC. ;w; I wouldn't say it's THAT bad, but if I get so many mistakes no matter how many times and constantly preview RAM, it get's time consuming sometimes. - Editor's blockYou have no idea how stressed I get when I want to edit it so bad, and I have nothing to edit. I mope around...oh, do I mope around. ;w; - Program Crashing DownEspecially when I'm masking, and it wasn't autosaved....>.> Or I did this effect, or editing, that I loved so much, and SV decides to crash down without autosaving or I didn't save it? D: !@#$%& -Render time:Well in my case, I don't have a fast PC like some do, I guess it's average, and I have a lot of effects and layers, so it does get lengthy. xD I just kind of dislike when the length goes past 4 hours....D: And what frustrates me the most, if the render time is past 10 hours..(oh yes, in my pc world it does <.<) and the hours are almost complete, and the electricity goes OUT! D8 -Mistakes After Render:When everything looks fine on the preview, and once rendered, you see so many mistakes. ;w; I'm a perfectionist sometimes, so I have to re-render it until I get it right! xD How about you guys? I know there's something that annoys you about it editing every once in a while? xD I can't be the only one. |

| I dislike how it's so hard to pick a song for a video, because I feel like I shouldn't use an overused song (even though I know I can if I want to) and even if I want to use a song that is not overused, it's so hard for me to come up with ideas for it. Dx I also dislike how my computer lags while editing. It's pretty annoying and it makes me want to get a better computer. |

| video blocks!!! They're the worst ever, you just....feel horrible and awful when you sit in front of a blank vegas, sometimes you have ideas but you just don't know where to start, sometimes your head is just blank. I HATE that feeling when you have to turn off vegas when you did absolutely nothing at all......and it keeps coming back at you to haunt you damn it |

| Masking. :l And the overall editing community, they really know how to alienate someone. Not to mention bigotry runs wild, but I guess that's expected of any kind of community. |

| I have a habit of editing like im editing a film, what i mean is instead of working with the clips i have, I envision a scene I want and I force the clips i have to conform to my vision.
And the thing I hate most about this is its soo hard to do this!! lol but i cant not do it, i dont give up easily and i always find what im looking for.
For example, when i wanted to re construct a colloseum with a crowd and have Cloud and Kadaj fighting in it, I spent hours and days trying to figure out a way to make it happen. Even went as far as to mask/chroma key their fight onto a background of the Luca stadium. And would have done the whole thing had Babyfantasiaxx not stopped me lol.
Making a complicated post simple, what I dislike about editing to game footage is how difficult it is to get the sequence in your head to happen in the video |

| Honestly, I think I do not "dislike" anything about editing. Of course, all the annoying things make me lose my nerves sometimes, but that's what I dislike about the a PROGRAM or my PC, not EDITING; I mean editing is not responsible for Vegas Crashes or my own mistakes, right? The only thing I could LOVE AND DISLIKE about editing, is that it claims so much time lol. On one hand, I love to spend my freetime for editing, because whenever I edit, I forget about everything and concentrate on things that make me feel good. But on the other hand, I know what it means to spend too much freetime for editing. You can really forget about everything, if you don't watch (appointments, time, etc) But I guess that's a problem you can have with any hobbies, if you're very passionated into it. The more important editing is to you, the more you should also keep your mind on other things and persons which are important to you. Editing still cannot replace friends and family. ___________________________________ ___________________________________ |

| hmmmm i guess what I dislike is of course the block which im on now and trying to figure out effects to go with it. ALSO the lagging =D and as for songs, I won't edit a video unless i have a song in mind. but omg i really dislike trying to go through a majority of footage to find the perfect one to use XD ___________________________________ ___________________________________ |

| I don't have many things I dislike about editing. Maybe about how it can take a while to render, and like..quality problems which can really change the look of your video. Thats about it really. |

| I have to agree with Mina, when I'm in my good moods. When I'm in my bad moods, there are many, many dislikes. The highest irritation is when a clip that has worked for months all of a sudden won't open into Vegas, turns black during rendering, glitches, or closes the program. I just got done deleting five clips due to the fact that they were all sped up for no reason whatsoever. And there was no slowing them down. Of course, the fault most likely lies with me for that trouble, but, in my bad mood that I was in, I of course blamed everything Editing-Related! (: I cannot stand working on something and not have it remotly how I imagined. I will end up deleting it even if I've spent hours on it. This actually will cause me to be grumpy in real life. However, if I finish something and actually upload it, this makes me very pleased that I've actually gotten something done and grumpiness is gone. (: Anytime a good masking goes bad in render, this will cause me to go off the deep end. Oh yes, my Vegas Assasination Kit it pulled out and nearly used every time this happens. It's a tough road down Editing Lane, and without all the frustration it wouldn't make the completed projects so special. (: |

| I agree with EmoLobster in many points. Although with many problems with Sony Vegas, editing is fun :) We all have our times when we have video blocks and we're not in mood of editing. So, well, I do this, to get rid of it, I listening to many songs and trying to get an idea of finishing the unfinished projects. But, if you can't finish the video, it means it's not time to finish it so just take your time and leave it for a while. Then you re-open the project after a few time, you finally get the idea of finishing it (well, this works for me) Or start another project and you can get new ideas. Masking can be a pain, especially after rendering a mask you've worked so much on it. I have tried to mask Yuffie once and everything was just fine, but after re-playing it, the mask jumped from a point to another o_O The first thing I thought was to kill my Vegas >_< Like, WTF is going on?

| haha Lymun reminded me of another one
when you're editing something you're really excited about and your on a roll, bit THEN you get a completly different idea and end up starting a new vid before you've finished the first one, and so on and so forth |

| Just like that! That's my main problem XD I start a video and then, I get an idea of doing another one, and then again, again and again xD Just like you're driving in a circle without an ending.

| Haha yeahhh what Mina said. The program sometimes annoys me. Like every once in a while, Vegas will eat up my clips and screw around it so I have random scenes in the wrong places and it starts pixeling and everything. Argh it gets soooo frustrating. Rendering is the worst part. It takes a long time if there's a lot of coloring and layers and I can't do anything else on my computer while I'm waiting for my vids to render. Which is why I usually render when I'm sleeping hahaha |

| My biggest irritation is when Vegas shuts down. It's particularly awful when you've just worked on a huge mask, and you haven't saved it. I find it really distressing. |
