| Collection Of Tutorials - B/W with Color Effect (For Sony Vegas)
In this topic, we can gather tutorials which show how to isolate a single colour and leave the rest of the video black and white. (Most people know this as the "Sin City" film effect.) I know that there are different ways to create this effect. Here are two tutorials, using the Color Corrector in SV: Sin City Effect - Sony Vegas Tutorial >>> Sony Vegas 8; Using Color Corrector (Secondary) Sony Vegas - Color Splash >>> Sony Vegas 9; Using Color Corrector (Secondary) If you have different suggestions or found other tutorials to create this effect, feel free to post them here!^^ I will add all suggestions and links into the first post, so we will have a list of different ways to create this effect then. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you were looking for Alyvia, so let me know if you need more advices^^

| Maybe for tutorials people could give tutorials on how to do stuff without Pro? ^^;; I don't have Pro, not until I save up to buy it, but there are soooo many effects I'd like to know how to do with something non-Pro shortcut, hahaha. |

| Thank you for the links! I always wondered how my sister could do this but she's barely around for me to ask. |

| Thank you for this Mina! I sort of understand it now, I just need to play around with it for a bit and see what works for me. But I finally get how to isolate colours xDDD

Oh sure... I didn't think about that yet lol. But actually I do not know which features you can use without Pro. So I guess Color Correctory Secondary is an effect which you cannot use and now you wanna find a way how to create such an effect, right? (Just to make sure that I understand xD) Then which effects DOES your vegas offer? Can you mask? ___________________________________ ___________________________________ |

| Since I use Sony Vegas 8.0, I know it doesnt have Colour Corrector Secondary, and it doesn't have any masking abilities. That, I think, are the only two differences between SV 8.o and the PRO version of Sony Vegas 8.
I have both programs so Im not limited, but I have to render in SV 8 because I could never get my settings to work in Pro, and the rendered video is always distorted if I try rendering in Pro. So I just use Pro for masking and now, for colour correcting.

| Maybe with none pro prgrams to isolate colours, you could have a black and white layer and a colour layer and chroma keyer out the colour you want to show and then invert the chroma keyer so thats the only one that does show? Something like that? |
