| (it's been too long since I've been here!) Anyways, I sure hope this is in the right section! I have a forum from the same host as this site, but I can't figure out how to get the rotating banner at the top of the page; when you refresh it automatically refreshes the header? We used to have one here; but I've had people look at the programming, but no one can seem to figure. So who better to ask than people who have figured it out before? | Sory for the late reply, I was kinda inactive the last days. Well, forumotion has a support forum, did you already check it out? You should actually find any help you need there <3 For example, here's a List of Tricks & Tips, which could be usefull for you: Forumotion - Tricks & Tips
Referring your question, I need to know which phpBB version you use for your forum? ___________________________________ ___________________________________ |

| I looked through the helps and stuff for banners and headers, but I couldn't find anything there. How do I find out what version I'm using? I only hit "create a forum" and went on like that. XD I don't remember specifying a different type. |

| Okay, go to the "Administration Panel". Click on "Display" ---> "Choose A Theme" Then you go to the "Version" window, where you can find the options to "Change version :" One of the four options should be enabled. ( phpBB2, phpBB3, PunBB or Invision) Just take a look and let me know which Version you have enabled. You better don't change anything yet, cause that could give you some trouble with your board style.
SORRY AGAIN FOR REPLYING SO LATE X___X

| Well then, you probably need to use a programm called "notepad". That would be kinda complicated to explain english for me ~.+ So I only found this script : http://javascript.internet.com/miscellaneous/random-image.html and I'm not sure if that will help you. You might want to learn more about javascript before you try this out I guess... ___________________________________ ___________________________________ |

| Okay, hey Mina, I'm back for help, hahahha. I have a newer forum and the style is phpBB2. According to what I've read about the styles, this should be able to have a rotating image header. I've looked up some HTML and found the template editor, but I'm not sure where to insert an HTML code (and also I'll probably need a new one, because the one I've found might not work, or so say a few other forum owners in the Help). Or JavaScript or whatever it is that makes this all work, hahahah. This is the code I have (and it has some of the images that I was using, so sorry about that: | Code: | ads=[];n=0 ads[n++]=["link","[url=http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/16/09/35/74/25f0ne10.jpg]http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/16/09/35/74/25f0ne10.jpg[/url]"]; ads[n++]=["link","[url=http://i54.tinypic.com/35d98ur.jpg]http://i54.tinypic.com/35d98ur.jpg[/url]"]; ads[n++]=["link","[url=http://i56.tinypic.com/59y0pv.jpg]http://i56.tinypic.com/59y0pv.jpg[/url]"]; num=Math.floor(Math.random()*ads.length); document.write("<center><a href='"+ads[num][0]+"'><img src='"+ads[num][1]+"'/></a></center>"); //]]> </script> |
