| Aside from Kingdom Hearts, this is my favorite game. For those that don't know: You play as the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu, who takes the form of a majestic white wolf. Along with your tiny sidekick Issun, you must use the Celestial Brush to paint nature back to how it was and battle evil demons.
For people that have played it: What did you think of it? Did you like the art? And are you psyched for the DS sequel, Okamiden? |

| I love this game as well. It is one of the most beautiful and creative games I've ever played! It's unique in its own way and I think everyone who loves to draw or even art in general should've played this game at least once 8D |

| Best. Game. Ever. Hands down.
Beautiful animation, perfect storyline, most loveable characters ever, and the gameplay is just gorgeous. The ending made me bawl so bad. I actually cried like, the entire time. From before getting into the final dungeon, and then during the final boss fight, and after the final boss fight. I am totally going to play it again soon. |

I adore the artwork in that game and I've completed it a gizzilion times xD Never get bored of it. |

An Okami anime would be EPIC! Especially if they keep the art style. |

| Okay, my friend Chloe from tumblr has been talking about this and swears that I'd love it; would anyone mind explaining the basics to me? I'd like to get into it (since I have a PS2 8D [no DS though]) and see if I really am going to like it before I go spend money, hahaha. (: |

| Well... (Parden if facts are out of order... Reading Wiki XD) Okami's made by capcom, and is set in ancient Japan and combines many of the folklore (such as the Zodiac, Gods/Godesses, etc) to base the game around. The main character is Amateratsu, who took the form of a white wolf (much like Shiranui, born 100 years earlier) and is a sun godess. Another main character is Issun, a artist who's as small as a bug. Those are the people you'll mostly see throughout the game, with the exception of a certain prophet, but I'm not gonna spoil that So, for the gameplay, besides running around and fighting like in most RPGs you have the Celestial brush. I think that's one thing people love about the game, because it's unique. Pretty much, when you open it you can draw on the screen with a paintbrush in a certain pattern to perform a miracle-type thing (such as reviving plants, strong with, sun/moon). The game's art is more like a painting than a 3-D game, and the settings, music, and story follows the Japanese history aspect of things. Wow... I made that sound a little too professional, for me anyway. But I hope that helped! |
