Hey! So I thought I'd make this topic to see how many of you guys are playing Heavy Rain - it really is gorgeous in terms of graphics - I didn't think I'd be interested in it but I've been watching/playing along so far and I've become a bit obsessed with it!
I've heard from others who own it that it is a pretty quick game, so far it seems to be flowing nicely and not too quickly, but I can see how it's easy to immerse yourself in it and want to keep playing on until the end!

It's a bit different to the usual - but I think role player type of gamers might enjoy it more than most as you are involved in so much of the game - even to the point where you are washing their hands for them and I just changed a baby on it haha!

So what does everyone think of it? :)

Only played the demo but I agree with you on terms that it flows nicely, its differant, and roleplayers will enjoy it most xDD It's so differant and from what I've heard, a very deep storyline xDD

I just played only the Demo too but it was soo great *o* love the Graphic and the gameplay*o* If I have enough money I´ll buy it definitly but first I have to buy God of War 3 ^^

Ah I remember playing the demo ages ago but I haven't been able to have it for myself.

But from what I know, it has a very deep storyline and I really don't want to ask what happens because I would like to play it myself completely sometime lol The graphics are wonderful and the soundtrack for the game is beautiful and really adds to the whole experience.

Ive played through Heavy Rain quite a few times. Its an EXCELLENT game, in terms of graphics and also that it has a very interesting playability, in that you literally can control every movement, gesture, reaction, etc. And all of it effects the ending of the game. There are a MULTITUDE of different endings you can get, and since you play through the game as multiple characters per chapter, each character ending is different, and each can have a varience of different endings, depeding on how you play and what choices you make.

Ive always liked this new interface of gaming, the multiple ending "what-you-do-changes-everything" concept, but even Fable and Fable 2 (for those who have played those) doesnt compare to Heavy Rain's mechanism. The game literally REVOLVES around you and what you do in every situation. Im not goingto spoil anything about the ending(s), but the storyline is very well thought out, it took me by surprise the first time (I thought it was going to be a cliche/obvious-whose-the-bad-guy mystery, but it wasn't) and the game is seriously different each time you play it, if you try another path to go for a different ending. It makes the game replay-able, and its just as entertaining each time, if not more so, because you don't know whats going to happen in the end with your new choices.

=D Its definately worth buying, or at least renting. As for it going by fast...only if you get super addicted and play it non-stop. Its a good length, not too short, and not so long as its impossible to get through. The storyline and the gameplay visuals play out like a TV show or a movie, and you seriously feel like you are reading a good book while you play it, it just has something about it that makes it special.

The game looks interesting but I don't have a PS3, and I'm not gonna pay $360 + tax just to play a game (even though I have about $600).

xD I love my PS3, but it is expensive, especially if you arn't interested in any of the other PS3 games

Beat it three days later.
I adore it. Seriously. I do believe I have a fictional crush on Mr. "Nahman" Jayden.

Possibly Ethan Mars as well.

I played it last year. I love it. Heavy Rain has a great story, awesome graphics and I liked the new concept (I mean the steering - do you call it like this in English?).
There are many ways you can go and the story changes from which way you choose. The characters are ... alive - I can understand them. And it has been exciting til the end. =)

But i hate Ethan, i don't know why but i don't like him .-.
I liked very much Norman... sorry Nahman(XD) Jayden and Shellby's characters, and Madison is a nice type to play with but i really DON'T KNOW why i didn't like Ethan... i always like good characters then 0.o

Aww I love Ethan! The first time I played it he infuriated me but ever since I've just been like "oohhh Ethannnnn" haha I want to hug him, poor guy.
I'm replaying (aaaagain) and its at the Doctor point...I'm scared to play xD He freaks me out.

I always try to take the easy way out "Don't drinkkk Madisonnnn!" hahah

I love the doctor's fight. Madison is such a boss. <3
