Out of the 6 books out at the moment I'm on book 4 (Part 2 of book 3, weirdly)
Has no-one else read them???

Can't believe no one else has replied to this but YES
I have all the books, and I'm currently reading the 3rd one. I got them all in a as a birthday gift and was hooked ever since. The HBO series is quite amazing as well I have to admit. I really liked all the actors and acting.

Definitely one of the best fantasy book series out there <3

Anyone else who's read these? Do you have favorite characters and such?

Oh, I forgot to mention I really like Jon's and Arya's actors in the series. The girl that plays Arya is amazing. I'm gonna miss Sean Bean as well T.T

I've only read the first book so far but I loved Eddard and Ser Jorah. I also like Tyrion :)
I think this is an unpopular opinion but Catelyn started to grate on me after a while but perhaps I will like her again in the second book :) Do we ever get a Jorah pov chapter?

No on the Jorah front as far as I've read. And I agree....Catelyn really annoys me and she doesn't get much better. 100% Targaryen here :P

Damn that sucks :(
I am naughty and love spoilers, and I read ahead and about theories, and I like the theories around Rhaegar and Lyanna, I quite like Dany but I thought she was a bit daft trusting the maegi, but she is 14 and young I suppose! I'm trying to avoid putting spoilers here so am being vague xD

I haven't pushed past a feast for crows yet, so a Dance with Dragons is out of the question yet, we have the HUGE complete hardback version so I dread reading that.
