Title says it all, 'nuff said

As for me, I'm not exactly sure HOW I started vidding... it seems like ages ago xD. But I'm certain, that I began vidding with Windows Movie Maker in 2005-2006. Wow, I was so excited with that crappy old program, that I created a bunch of beat-hitting GMVs xD. My first TRUE GMV is my 'Hero' one on my YouTube Profile. I started to develop my skills (if that's even possible on WMM :p) and joined khextreme.co.uk to advertise my work. After that, YouTube came... and I uploaded my vids over there. A new era has begun and alot of other people started making videos and became better and better, while I lost my interest for a year. When it was around 2007, I returned... with some more crappy-ish Naruto AMVs (STILL made by WMM). I then noticed other videos, having all kinds of effects and stuff, more epic than WMM could ever do.

And soooo I heard of Sony Vegas and this is where I am now xD.

i was a huge Evanescence fan and i noticed that many people were editing theyr music videos
i thought "if they can, why i can't?" so i founded movie maker.
Then i founded Final Fantasy and i fell in love with this game and i started to make AMV
Vegas came almost 2 years ago for me because i founded the FFitaliangroup and i was wondering how could they make those effects XD
i learned to use vegas by making MEP and then i started to make the auditions for studios and other stuff XD

^ that was my first video ever made, and the only one i made in WMM. i downloaded sony vegas right after that xD.

for me, i was listening to Kill by Jimmy Eat World in the car to school one morning, and I could see parts of the video in my head, but i started listening to it more often every day until i could see the whole video (or so i thought XD) before i started working on it.

before i made that, i used to watch a lot of videos on youtube but i can't really recall any one of them inspiring me to start making my own. i can remember the one that introduced me to sony vegas (jellydollfacex3 - pretty girl) but that's about it. before that video, i thought everyone used WMM and effects were for professionals xD haha.

I was bored with nothing to do one day in September(ish) of 2006, so I started snooping around the PC and found WMM. I think I'd visted youtube once or twice and saw fan made videos so I searched for some final fantasy 7 FMV's and began to edit to Verticle's horizon making an AerisxCloud vid. Or kind of Anti pairing just trying to match the lyrics. I wanted to show my friend online who I met on maple story (gooood gaaame) and so I decided to create a youtube account and upload it there. I lost interest after a couple of crappy vids and returned a year later still making crappy quality videos on WMM with anime.
A key turning point in my youtube interest was when I met Goingcrazy101 who posted game tutorials,she introduced me to Adobe Premiere and so I downloaded it off of limewire and tried to use it. I didn't post anything good for a whole year but I couldn't help but think the program wasn't suited for me. I'd make my video in WMM then import it to AP to add my watermark. It killed the quality and took hours to render.
Then I found out about Vegas in late 2008 and started to play around. By now I had subscribed to quite a few people and learnt about textures and masking so it all comes from there really.
I joined a few studios, time past by and my videos got better. I had 60 subscribers from my WMM in 2006, and now I have 351 subs. In a year I gained just under 300 subscribers because of sony vegas. I don't know where I would be without it.

I used to always type in '-song name- final fantasy/kingdom hearts' because I loved watching AMVs to my favourite songs! My mum had bought a adobe photoshop and premiere elements pack a while ago so I installed premiere and had a crack at it myself. I think the first AMV I ever made was to 1234 by feist then I tried one to signal fire by snow patrol (with WMM, adobe was very difficult for a newb) but it got copyrighted

I started editing in early 06' so, going on four years. DX
No idea why I started, at all. I do remember that my first video was to One girl Revolution by Superchick or something. I deleted the video though. I don't even have the song or the clips I used anymore.
I was using WMM until a little over a year ago when my dad gave me the CS3 master collection.

Well I started editing when I was 9 o.e
I pretty much did what ThePringeLady did.
I would always hear a song. Then If I liked it I would run and go search it up.
I would be all. . *O*. I used WMM for about 3 years ! I eventually got good at it, then I got bored of it xD.
I recently got Vegas this summer and lots of subs! I feel as though I'm still in beginner-ish mode.
Well ; Ya That's my story

Lets see... I started editing after a brief but impacting problem surfaced in my life, I ended up leaving one important community to join another and it just flowed on from there, along with meeting some amazing people, I got over that 'problem', to an extent. It was quite funny actually, back in the day me and FilipinoKid264 would be trying all these little anime collabs and getting no further then 30 seconds each... mostly because we finally noticed that spamming chroma key on Ayu's head and Yuuichi's little 'gift bag' wasn't a very attractive way to edit so apart from that one full Kanon 06 AMV I maded back in late 2007 and the few FMA amvs, I ended up watching LOTS of anime all the way through but sticking to KH because its what I got used to. Thats how life rolls.

So, joined in July, 06, started Vegas sometime early 2007 (after meeting 3 amazing people.. T-T) and worked from there... simple as that with some twists and turns :]

sooo.....it was May of 2009....I had nothing to do...was very bored...
I watched all the other ppl's AMVS(especially about ff and kh) and was crazy fangirl of them for years now but I never even thought about making my own....

but my college friend was AMV maker with WMM and from that moment on, it sparked me the thought that "oohhhh...you can make one...O.O"

and Ihad shugo chara episodes in my computer...and skip beat music in my computer and I already learned where WMM was in my computer from my friend so I started to make it.

I was going to show it to my AMV maker friend, and I was going to be done with it. I wasn't even going to upload it to youtube......but my friend got excited and told me to upload it.
And when I did that, I got a response and I got excited somehow...

made 2nd one with WMM (which was when I first started to use Advent Children) and that got into top 4 in Pinoy's summer AMV contest.....

I got vegas at the end of May or something.....but when I opened them..I had NOOOO idea what was going on XD somehow in june, I made my first amv made with vegas...which is crappy...

so I only made 2 AMVs with WMM...and then rest of them are all Vegas.......my vegas experience is 6 month if I count it that way I guess XD wow I'm a noob.

and that's how it began

I started editing back in 2006. I didn't have an internet connection back then and I knew nothing about YouTube and this whole video editing community.

A friend of mine who had internet connection downloaded some amvs and anohter friend showed me the basics of WMM and then I thought: Why not?

So, I started making viideos and after 6 months when I got an internet connection I found out about YouTube and started uploading my vids.

My first video ever was made with the song In the End by Linkin Park and it's never been uploaded. xD

Well it all started back in 2008 on good ol' WMM XD

But I would really only watch GMVs before then, mainly KH stuff too.
Then a friend of mine sent me a video that she made which got me even more interested in the hobby. Then of course, I picked it up soon enough and started with KH videos. Soon after that I finally discovered how to get FF clips, then made a few FF stuff on WMM before moving on to Adobe Premiere CS3. Then a little while after that I got Sony Vegas 8 Pro, and I still use that today with a growing use of different media like FF, KH, DMC, as well as some future MGS and hopefully some LoTR. :3

Hrmmmm...

I started in early 2oo7, on a small, unknown account, editing Kingdom Hearts. I was very suckish (not much has changed 8D) and spammed the opening scenes to Coldplay & Nickelback songs. xDD
Something ... urm, negative happened, so I started on a new account a bit later (I had stopped editing for a large amount of time, then), 'KHIIFINALMIX'. A new start really impacted my mind and that's when I started to really enjoy editing; little did I know it would become my passion. ;o; <3 (BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS, MAHN. BLOOD, SWEAT, 'N TEARZ.)
I heard of Sony Vegas (like eight months into editing with Windows Movie Maker), then moved on from there. :]
I now try to edit anime more than KH, because KH has hit too many rocky places for me. >>;

I actually first started on powerpoint. I used to import whatever scenes I could find from ff/kh onto each slide, added music and then watched the whole thing over and over. This meant that I had to watch each scene from beginning to end without any chopping or changing and I got really into the whole thing.. This was back in 2004 and then in 05 I moved onto WMM for about 2 years befoire getting vegas on my 16th birthday. So I've been with yt for a looong time uploading crap then taking it off and uploading some more, constantly changing my style of editing. I've been with quite a few studios that fell apart and most of the members left but I'm still here cuz I luv it so much^^

so ya i still didnt know about YT i did watch some vids there but havent rly went like and create an account and all that it was just another video site but then my sister found an amv so she started to learn more and try to understand what is an amv so she started her research while i was probably doin this
so ya but then when she made her first amv and then my other sisters began to make other amv i thought what the hell? and i made my own wen i was 11 it was on WMM it was great for my experience and it was posted at gametrailers and everybody said GREAT and all that and i thought about making another but i was too lazy to do that so after 3 years my sister
discovered adobe primire(or watever its name is) so ya i made a vid which i posted at YT but then my other sister who is cmcharmed on YT and she is a member here too so ya she started watchin vids of sony vegas and she was like THATS SO FREAKING AMAZIIIIING
and i was like pfft its nothing until i saw masking thats when i downloaded sony vegas and started making good videos

Woow, Hmmmm, let's see how I started;

Well I was so interested in FF-X and X-2, I would always get books from my library and stuff, and I got this ultimate gamer book thingy from a friend one day and I fell in love with Yuna. She just looked so rad, so I went to my computer and and tried to find the FF-x/X-2 "Movie" Because I was really naive at the time XD Everytime I would look on Limewire, nothing showed up but AMVs, so I downloaded them. I watched them all and I was like "Holy shit that's awesome!" That was in 2006.

I wanted to make some soo badly, but I didn't know how. So I gave up for a while, until in 2007 my best friend showed me an AMV she had made and posted on youtube, I was amazed and was immediately like "How did you make this?! *3*" The moment she said Windows Movie Maker, I was set on trying to find it, but the computer that I had at the time was so crap that WMM didn't work on it. So I was crushed, once again.

In late 2008, around November, my mother bought a new computer while I was asleep (literally XD) and when I woke up and went into my room I almost collapsed. When I saw it literally I was like "Holy shit I can make AMVs now!" And my very first WMM video was on May 14th 2008 to a Japanese song by Rurutia, with obviously Yuna singing and whatever other X/X-2 clips I could find. (And somehow this video now have almost 9,000 views XD)

And one day, I was browsing through AMVs, at this point I had no clue about what the heck Sony Vegas was, and I just happened to stumble across an amazing editor. Missmustang. I saw her videos and my jaw dropped, immediately I was like "How the hell did she do that! She's so pro at WMM!" (At the time I found her, she did use it xD) Until I saw her newest video which was called "Zack/Cloud Leave Out All The Rest" And I fell in love all over again XD I watched all her videos and was like "Holy shit how does she do that?!" Until I decided to read her descrption box and it said Sony Vegas 7. Immeditely after that I downloaded SV7.

The moment I opened it I was like "O.O Whaat the heck is this crap." So I would use WMM still and SV7 was rotting on my computer, until one day I thought, "I want to be like Missmustang" so I tried to use it and I failed sooo bad. Until I tried and tried and tried sooo hard Until I finally made a video that i was proud of; That was about 10 months ago.

And from then on I kept trying to improve myself. I began flow editing, then I tried to edit like EmoLobster(after I found her "Yuna Wants Her Innocence Back" video), then I began to form my own style which I have been trying to improve from then on.

Well, there it is. Very long, like everything else I post here XD

first only with wmm, but then i first saw masking and wondered: how the hell does she do this?! O_O
...after watching the decription i knew xD
