Thought this would be a little fun topic to create :) Anyways, are you the type of gamer who rages every time you die but still continues to play the game, or are you the type of gamer who will complete a game in 1 day? Simply comment here on what type of gamer you are, there are many different types not just those two. Anyways i shall go first.

- I am the type of Gamer who rages if i die more than twice in a row XD This is how 4 of my PS2's have broken over the last 6 years, because i either threw it across the other side of the room or attempted to shred it to pieces XD However i am also the type who will play a game in the fastest time possible, then replay it to try and get the most out of it. I'm also one of those people who will watch cutscenes on every game, no matter how many times i have seen them i will always watch them when playing a game, i also always have subtitles on if the option is available. If i am playing a game which requires some form of strategy, i have a habit of planning ahead and also the way i fight in a game, i never run in head first with the prospects of trying to beat the enemy senseless, ESPECIALLY if i am not leveled up enough. That is how i roll on the gaming side

I'm the calm type of gamer. When I play a game and die many times, I don't hit my PlayStation or remote xD. Instead, I take a break or eat something and try again later.

When I play a game for the first time, I use a walkthrough to do as many sidequests and secrets I can. I don't try to finish it in the fastest time possible. Instead, I watch all the cutscenes, with subtitles on (I know almost all the Final Fantasy lines xD). In my second playtrough, since I already completed everything with the help of a walkthrough, I play the games by myself, doing everything alone.

I'm very calm and focused when planning. I also take many breaks to eat, sleep and go to the bathroom. Gaming is my addiction, but I know there are limits.

My favourite genre is RPG. I love Final Fantasy, Breath Of Fire, Parasite Eve, Pokemon, Shadow Hearts and Resonance of Fate Series.

I currently own PS3, PS2, PSX and Wii. I owned an Xbox, Dreamcast and PSP.

I'm a gamer that likes fighting-style games, I used to love an Xbox 360 called 'Perfect Dark Zero' - oh how I love it, I used to stay up to 5 in the morning playing this game because I love it so much! o.o Dead or Alive is my next favourite style but because it requires knowledge of knowing the move combinations, I just button-thrash instead. xD

Most people now by now that I'm a huge fan and lover of the pokemon franchise by watching it nearly every morning and if I miss an episode, by watching it on an on-demand service - the games really to get me going. I MUST DEFEAT THAT GYM LEADER and if I don't I get mad easily. :/

Overall, I'm an all round gamer that loves basily every console on the market at the moment. O__________________O

I take games really slowly, when I'm playing I have to make sure i've searched every area all over and talked to everyone at least twice before I move on >.< I love playing a good game for the first time, you just can't put it down! I'm a real perfectionist when it comes to sidequests and levelling - i have to get EVERYTHING. And level up as much as I can. I get frustated sometimes when I lose, but a game can take me weeks, even month to complete 100% On my final fantasy X save game i've clocked up nearly 200 hours >.< and i've still got stuff to do!!

Oh well, i'm a kick-ass gamer XD
I don't like sweet-love games, i use to hate 'em, but i'm happier if i found a love story between two characters. I don't hit the console from a couple of years when i die, but after a while i start to curse everyone's around.
That's why i like very much to play Final Fantasy and i loved Heavy Rain.


I like games where i have to investigate and kill, but i also like when i have to figure out strategies and magic while fighting(Dragon Age ), even because i play this kind of games since i was 4 and i own them in my heart now. Then i preferr a "walktrough" than a only "level-up" thing(as a Tekken for example)

Usually i like a videogame because of theyr characters: i like to watch 'em as real people, and when i play characters like Ezio Auditore, Norman Jayden or Vincent Valentine...it's like i can feel theyr emotions and be a part of something. I don't use to like the game if i don't find good characters to play with

I'm a gamer that easily gets attached to a storyline and it's characters. While I do play for the actual game and it's functions, I mostly play for it's story. A video game is basically like an interactive book, which is why I think I like them so much. So, needlessly put, if I don't like a character or a storyline is absolutely ridiculous, I find it extremely hard to play through.

However, on the flipside, I'm also a thrills-and-chills kind of gamer. I mostly play survival horror, so I like the feeling of being scared. I'm a bit of an adrenaline addict, you see. When I die, though, I'm not the type to just turn it off and give up, nor does it really frustrate me. I just try again and hopefully learn what I did wrong. xD Video games are a great thing for your patience level, I swear.

I think i'm the only one who loses faith with games here if i die .____. i feel like some rampaging psychopath XD

I'm the kind of gamer, who when they play, they'll be playing for hours. XD Like hours... Also, I NEVER EVER CHEAT. I love RPG, because I can sympathize with the character and I also read tips online. When I finish a game, I usually get so sad that I play it from the far beginning and if the game continues (e.g. FFX & FFX-2), I run to buy them! I am mostly the chain-game player, do you get what I mean? xD If I buy the beginning, I have to get the rest, too.

11tiggers I can sympathise, I get kinda frustrated, I don't smash anything up or anything but there was this one time when that dumb flying dragon thing on FFX (before the wedding) kicked my arse after what seemed like hours of battling it...I kinda lost the plot a little when that happened.
Oh and I actually CRIED over how hard I found FF12 to begin with. Vaan and Penelo in a desert failing at everything...it was so different to older FFs I was so frustrated with it...and I don't cry easily so I was really bothered I guess xD Then I played on got my full team and really enjoyed the battle system ahah

I play games for the story like BlehxIshxMe. Infact that's pretty much the only reason I play games, and I love games haha. I just love the stories...I play everything on easy mode xD (I'm not a good gamer even though I spend all my money on them xD) I especially like RPGs where you can customise the character and make the decisions!

I'm a different gamer than I used to be. ;w; I was born with video games, what happened I do not now. 8l

I'm SO SLOW NOW! I used to beat games within a week or so, but doesn't happen so much now, and I top game after game when I haven't completed some already. And I could play for HOURS, but it's rare for me to do that now. The last game that had me play without putting the controller down, was the kick ass game, Heavy Rain. xD But for the most part, I play like a half hour to hour at maximum for a day, and like " Gahdamn, I need a break" D:

I'm a calm one I think when playing, I'm not a perfectionist, so I play more for the story now that I think of it, so you don't really see me do 100% or anything. But I do have quite a sailor mouth unleashed if I die a lot, especially with bosses. D: Do I regret it? 8l I THINK NOT. Dx

I never threw a controller; I'd like to keep it that way. ಠ_ಠ I love RPG's the most, investigation, and love playing classic games now, I'm so interested in playing old school games more than games released now. 8l

I'm a freak out gamer. When I was a kid, I couldn't play video games--I'd freak out, throw the controller and hide if anything happened that I couldn't deal with. I used to watch my dad play video games like Tomb Raider and Silent Hill when I was younger, and eventually he got me to start playing them for myself. Now I can play pretty much anything, but I do still..."I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS" sometimes, shameful to say.
If I die more than 5 or so times, I pretty much give up. I'll come back to it months later and tell myself "just do it" and I'll eventually get it.
But I do have exceptions--and that's pretty much limited to Fable and Assassin's Creed. I will, and have to, beat those as fast as possible. When Assassin's Creed II came out, I beat the game in about 6 days (5 of which I was still going to school and only playing when I got home) and I wouldn't leave it alone until I beat it. Even at the part where I wanted to give up, I forced myself to keep going.

...All that being said, I kind of scream/whine when I play. "GO AWAY. I CAN'T DEAL WITH YOU. SHOOOO. STOP FOLLOWING ME. I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT YOU."

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I don't really know what type of gamer I am XDI think I'm a little bit of everything? First off, I don't play as often anymore. But I am the type to play only one game until I beat it before I got out and buy something new. I tend to like the adventure roleplaying games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy but like I HAVE TO know what its about so I read like the summary on practically every game to see if I'd like it xDDDD LOL. Tiggy, I get frustrated too. I die WAAAAAY too many times cuz for some reason, I end up making it through half the game on a low level so when it comes to a powerful boss, I die like crazy. Then have to go back and fight random things til I raise up. D; I use walkthoughs too sometimes if I can't figure something out. yeah..kay im gonna stop now before I type too much -flees-

I'm a gamer with so many different interests into different kinds of games.
I'm especially a full-adrenaline gamer. I'm in love with races and there's nothing more beautiful for me than to play a racing game.
Also, I'm a very calm gamer and nothing can take me aout of control. If I fail the 34th time, it doesn't matter :) I'll continue to play until I beat the obstacle
Besides racing, I'm extremely in love with horror games. The last one I've played was Rule of Rose. Unfortunately, my PS2 doesn't read the DVD and I can't play games anymore. Waiting for the right moment to take it to the shop o.o

I'm pretty calm. Usually, I go for weeks/months without playing a game, until I eventually get a hankering to play something; then I'll spend the time I need (when I have it; that's why I usually only play long games during the summer) to finish it and complete it to my satisfaction. I don't usually get frustrated with boss fights, but more with mini games. (Like right now; Hyper Dodger Chocobo racing in FFX? I was like, growling at my television screen.) I NEVER run from a fight and I tend to have characters strong enough to beat up whatever comes my way, because I try to excel when it comes to leveling up. That's why bosses are never really an issue for me. I also use walkthroughs (no matter how many times I've played the game, since usually it's so long between plays), so I can get all the secrets. I usually set goals for myself; like my goal with FFX now is to learn every ability on the Sphere Grid for all the characters. I like secrets and sidequests and mini-games. I'm a true RPG gamer, and usually I need a romance of some sort to really attach me to the game.

I'm a logic and puzzle gamer, I've come to like RPGs but I like to watch people play them more so than me playing them myself. I also like God Games when I can get my hands on cheats.

I played adventure once, but that ended quick when I was playing Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and I could not catch a fish in the first level and I threw the WII remote out the window.

So I don't play adventure anymore...

No. I dunno what the term really is since I like a big variety. When I was little, when I got the most of my games, they were mostly movie-to-game lame ones, but occasionally an awesome one came along. Sly Cooper games, I have fun with shooters, MMORPGS, card friggin games... basically anything, as long as it's fun o.O And not stupid...

Square Enix has been the best I've come across when it comes to fluid gameplay, but then again, I'm not too aware of the majority out there at the moment. Maybe someday...
