Watership Down by Richard Adams.
It must be my favourite book of all times.
I've read it three times, I love it. I've also seen the movie, but the book owns it anytime.
The book is just so well written from the rabbits' point of view and about how we humans really destroy their world. Still it doesn't go over-dramatic and it's not childish either, it's very serious and the rabbits are still like rabbits, not humans in the shells of them.

My favorite series at the moment are The Inheritance Cycle, The Sword of Shannara Trilogy, The Heritage of Shannara series, and The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara series, The Chronicles of Narnia (such classics), and then a non-series book I like is the novel And Then There Were None. I encourage anyone to read that book. Best mystery novel EVER!

I used to like the Series of Unfortunate events too, but I grew out of them, lol. And I also liked Twilight, although now...I'm sorry to anyone who likes it...but I can't get through two pages of it without laughing.

@PureEnglishRose

I just bought the first book! Getting ready to read it soon, hopefully. :3

My favorite book series has got to be the "Pendragon" series by DJ MacHale. Gosh, I love it! I read all ten books in about four months. -_- My friend at school lent me books 1-7, and then after school let out in the summer, I bought the rest on my own, and I adore them!

Seriously, I have read so many books, and I've never had a favorite before. There are about 600+ books in my room, but they are my absolute favorites! *0*

And Goosebumps. XD Who doesn't love Goosebumps? I'm only missing five books before I have a complete collection. XD

Uuwaahh, I love Watership Down. I need to track down a copy of it, because I haven't read it in years.

I read A LOT, so my list of books I like is pretty long, but I guess my all time favorites would be anything by C.S. Lewis, Lloyd Alexander, or Stephen Lawhead, Tamora Pierce's Tortall books, Discworld, the Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix, The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle, Lord of the Rings, Dune, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, Pride and Prejudice, A Tale of Two Cities, Dracula, Trinity Blood by Sunao Yoshida, The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Mabinogian, and a lot more that I won't mention because I'll just start rambling.

The Harry Potter series is definitely one of my favorites, I am totally of the HP generation. I've been with the books since they came out, I was one of the kids waiting for my letter to Hogwarts to come in the mail, ya know.
Watership Down is one of my favorites as well.
The Dragon Riders of Pern by Anne McCaffery is up there with Harry potter. I haven't gotten to read the whole arc, seeing as there are so many, but I enjoy Pern and keep hoping we'll find numbweed here on earth.

Guiding on that wandering traveller

Post by Melrose on 3rd February 2011, 8:43 pm

Some of my favorite books are actually somethings we had to read in school. We were studying the Holocaust and we read Number the Stars by Louis Lowry and Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. I really enjoyed them and to this day I have my own copies. They taught me valuable things about humanity and I hope to share that with my children someday.

To be honest I really like classics like Hamlet that I read during high school...but outside of school work I guess I'd have to mention Cirque Du Freak and the Lord of the Rings...despite me never fully reading all of the LotR books.
